OUR ADVICE SERVICE

Initial access to our advice service is by telephone.  Our number is:

0115 938 8050

When you speak to us we will work out how best to help you - whether it is:

  • offering you an appointment with an adviser

  • inviting you to use our information service; or

  • referring you to another more suitable organisation.

Our advice service is available:

MONDAYS 9.30am - 1.00pm
TUESDAYS 9.30am - 1.00pm
WEDNESDAYS 1.00pm - 4.00pm
THURSDAYS 9.30am - 1.00pm
FRIDAYS 9.30am - 1.00pm

OUR INFORMATION SERVICE

We can help you to select leaflets, factsheets, self-help packs or use the internet.  Alternatively, you can try visiting www.adviceguide.org.uk.  This website is useful for anyone who needs instant information on their rights and responsibilities.

For our information service you can call in at the bureau Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 9.00am and 2.00pm, or Wednesdays from 12.30pm until 4.00pm.

Alternatively, you can ring our 24-hour recorded information line on

and listen to pre-recorded information on a wide range of subjects.

The bureau also delivers advice sessions in the community at the following venues:

Fridays

9.30am - 3.30pm

Bestwood Village, St Mark's Church, School Walk

Mondays

9.30am - 12 noon

Calverton Core Centre, 18 St Wilfrid's Square

Mondays

10.00am - 3.30pm

Carlton Clinic, Park House, 61 Burton Road

 

Tuesdays

12.30pm - 3.30pm

(Appointments are given out at reception from 9.30am)

Edwards Lane Community Centre, Alderton Road

Tuesdays and Fridays

9.30am - 2.30pm

(For Nottingham City Council residents only)

Netherfield - St George's Centre, Victoria Road

Thursdays

9.30am - 12.30pm

Newstead Miners Welfare & Community Centre

Mondays

1.00pm - 3.30pm

 

PLEASE NOTE - there are a limited number of appointments at each session and all the sessions operate on a first come, first seen basis.  Often people arrive before the advertised opening times to get an appointment.  If you wish to do this we would ask you to check with the host centre as to their opening times.
